Accessibility

We strive to be an accessible business. If there’s anything we can do to make your visit to our 1:1 studios or to any of our events more comfortable, please don’t hesitate to reach out in advance. If you require accommodations that aren’t on this list, please let us know – we are constantly working to improve equitable access.

Accessible Entrance

We currently do 1:1 work at Serendipity Salon & Gallery in Columbia and at Align Yoga & Massage in St. Louis. Both locations are wheelchair accessible.

Our classes are not currently in any one set location – we’re pretty mobile. If you have questions about any class location, please feel free to reach out to either the studio or to myself!

Accessible Breathwork Positioning

I offer two options for breathwork sessions. I have a height-adjustable massage table for clients who may not be comfortable getting up and down from the floor. The table is rated to hold up to 600 pounds of working weight. Or you may also choose to do your breathwork on a yoga mat on the floor, if you prefer. Some clients feel more grounded working on the floor. I have different types of blankets and pillows for comfort.

Neurodiversity

I am autistic and ADHD, and I began pursuing education in breathwork and nervous system regulation specifically for that reason! So I am pretty well-versed in the challenges that can come about in this type of session – please rest assured that whatever you need to feel comfortable is okay. This is a safe and nurturing space, and you won’t be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Whether you’re not feeling like you want to follow the most activated path through your breathwork journey, not feeling talkative, need physical space, need movement or to change positions, or need special assistance with getting the breath right… please just let me know and I will be happy to help you figure it all out. I believe this is important work for us! If you are just feeling nervous and want someone to walk you through what’s going to happen at an event ahead of time – please drop me a note and I will be happy to do so.

Sensory-Friendly Environment

If there are any accommodations I can make that will improve your comfort during your 1:1 session, please let me know. Lighting is generally dim, and sessions are usually fairly quiet. Music will be playing during your session. I can adjust the volume if needed. I have blankets of different weights and textures, as well as a fan, in case you have sensory preferences around body temperature. Eye masks are available for purchase if you forgot to bring yours from home. I can also totally rustle up a Squishmallow if you want one.

Accessible/Gender Neutral Restrooms

We have public, gender-neutral, accessible bathrooms available on multiple floors of the building.

Accessible Website

I am currently improving the website to meet current accessibility standards. If you have any issues with the site, please reach out and I will help you in any way I can! Many WordPress themes are not 100% compliant out of the box, so I will be working on this as quickly as I’m able.

Service Animals

Your trained service animal is welcome at the 1:1 studio and/or at any of our events! If you will be bringing a service animal to your 1:1 appointment, please let me know in advance and we will happily accommodate them during your session with a bed, water, and anything else they might need! Please be aware that live classes often involve quite a bit of virgorous drumming to keep the tempo, and live sessions use moderately loud atmospheric music.
